Pua Nani Thank you for this beautiful response. I agree, it can take a lot of time to get to know someone and certainly I’ve been on several follow up dates and not just “firsts”. Interestingly enough, the vast majority of my dates HAVE been with computer programmers of all types (Seattle/Amazon culture), and although I’m attracted to the nerdy, introverted types in general, there’s been quite a disconnect. I am patient and kind on the one hand, yet really intolerant of people who don’t have emotional intelligence. I’m certain there’s a personality flaw on my end in this equation, and something I need to learn from along with all of the other vast long term singletons that I still see online — wondering why they too haven’t been able to get a date.
