Dear Bob, my apologies — I know that my response will NOT be adequate to what you wrote me, but I hope you understand that what I am writing is sincere never the less. Thank you SO MUCH for writing this, and putting it in a bigger perspective than my small one from my mothers living room. It is true, all of the people who are giving me advice on how to “land a job” is outdated at best, extremely non practical at worst. It does seem like we are in a sea of change and I think you articulated it much better than I have. There are a lot of DREAMS being sold on the internet, and dreams that have been hand fed to me for my entire life. I truly hope some clarity (for myself and then hopefully I can be in a position to help others) comes soon, and I can build something from all of these strange circumstances. I am DEFINITELY going to ask questions. I am putting myself out there (much to my fear and embarrassment. I find it insane that nearly 3,000 people have read this) more and more and becoming fearless in the face of uncertainty seems to be my best bet. Thanks again for commenting and for understanding my dilemma in a larger context. Much appreciation, Sarah
